Korholan Kartano is a manor located in Rautalampi, in a traditional Finnish manor environment with scenic courtyards and beach pavilions. The manor was founded by Birger Westzynthius in the mid-19th century under the name Korholan Hovi (=Korhola Court). The collection of the Rautalampi Museum was originally located in the manor house. Today, the manor serves as a hostel and an atelier with paintings and drawings by painter Oili Marski. The manor is also an ideal place for holding meetings, family celebrations as well as courses.
The manor’s comfortable and cosy rooms provide an ideal place to rest. The rooms are located both in the manor’s main building as well as the outbuilding. The hostel’s common areas include lounge areas, cooking facilities, washing facilities and laundry.
Kartano Hostel is a homely accommodation option at Anttila Estate in Kokemäki, Satakunta. The hostel is open all year round in the estate´s main building. The oldest part of the building is from the 1790s and the long history can be felt in many places; such as the hostel’s small details and the Anttila Estate Home Museum. At Anttila Estate you will also find an idyllic boutique and Finland’s smallest lemonade factory, as well as a juice station!
The hostel has room for 29 people and the room sizes range from rooms for 1-2 persons to dormitory rooms for 7 persons. Most of the rooms have a TV. The hostel has plenty of common spaces such as lounges with books and a well-equipped shared kitchen. The price includes bed linen, towels and a free use of sauna. Breakfast is available for guests at an additional cost.
Porvoo Hostel is located in a historically valuable wooden building that once served as Porvoo’s first maternity hospital. The house was built in 1903 by midwife Alva Forsius. Today the building is over 100 years old and serves as a hostel.
The hostel has rooms for 1-6 people and a total of 29 beds. All rooms have a TV and a refrigerator. Shared washing facilities and a customer kitchen are available for guests. Porvoo Hostel is open all year round and located close to the center of Porvoo as well as the Porvoo old town.
Kartanohostel AnnaCatharina is a manor hostel located in Savonlinna. The interesting history of the estate dates back to the 17th century when the Varparanta lands and it’s neighbouring lands were under the control of the crown estate. At the beginning of the 20th century, the then municipality of Sääminki established a poorhouse on the lands of the estates. This building currently serves as the main building of AnnaCatharina.
The hostel rooms are mainly double rooms but family rooms for 3-4 persons are also available. The hostel can accommodate a total of 60 people. Showers, toilets and a self-service kitchen are located right next to the rooms. A tasty breakfast is included in the rates.
The idyllic AnnaCatharina is a very popular venue for weddings and other celebrations. The facilities and services are also ideal for camps and other private events. The nearby Linnansaari National Park and Kolovesi National Park are great hiking destinations for people who enjoy outdoors.
Hostel Visatupa is an active dairy farm located north of the Arctic Circle in Raudanjoki, Sodankylä. In addition to dairy farm, Hostel Visatupa operates as a hostel and welcomes guests to enjoy a cosy stay and get familiar with milk production in the arctic climate.
At Visatupa you can stay in cosy rooms for 2-4 persons or in apartments for 4-6 persons. The hostel has room for a total of 45 people. The rooms are located in the hostel building which has shared washing facilities and a kitchen. Small meetings and celebrations can also be held in the comfortable lounge area. The four apartments each have their own living room, kitchen, washing facilities and a sauna.
Upon request, you can also order full board or half board. The food is traditional local food from Lapland. In the evening you can relax in the beach sauna and take a dip in the clear water lake. During the winter you can enjoy the beautiful Northern Lights over the pitch-black sky and a white snowfall. The evenings can also be spent in the hut, frying pancakes or sausages by an atmospheric campfire.
